Shows and Tickets at Emmaus Venue
Q: How can I purchase tickets?
A: There are three ways that you can purchase tickets. You can order tickets online
at www.thisisemmaus.com. You can visit us in person and buy tickets at our
register. You can call us at 717.337.1643 and place an order via the phone.
Q: Should I buy a ticket in advance?
A: We recommend buying tickets in advance for any shows that you plan to attend.
While not all shows sell out, some many, and we are unable to guarantee that
tickets will be available at the door.
Q: How much are tickets?
A: Our ticket prices vary depending on the show and the artist, but our range of
prices is from $5-$15, with the majority of shows being in the $5-12 range.
Q: I ordered tickets online; now what?
A: You are set to go! We have a list of all preordered tickets at the door for every
show. Please bring photo identification and the credit card you used to purchase
the tickets along with you for verification the night of the show.
Q: Can I have preordered tickets mailed to me at home?
A: Sorry, but we do not mail out any advance ticket orders. Tickets must be picked
up at the door the night of the show.
Q: What time do shows start?
A: All shows start at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Start times are available
online and in the Emmaus e-mail newsletter. Please double-check all start times
for events to avoid confusion.
Q: When should I arrive for an evening performance?
A: We recommend arriving one hour before the scheduled start time of the show. Come
early and enjoy the cafe!
Q: Will there be a seat available for me at the show?
A: Our concerts vary. For particularly crowded shows, we are largely general
admission, standing room only with some very limited seating. Patrons are urged
to arrive early if they hope to sit at these shows. For other acts, we will have
a fully seated show, with chairs in rows that can accommodate most of the crowd.
For others, we will have some tables available along with chairs. We recommend
calling ahead if seating is a priority for you to check and see what the
arrangement will be for that particular evening.

Booking
Q: How do you get to perform at Emmaus Venue?
A: There are basically three performance "roles" at Emmaus: Headliner, Co-headliner,
and Opener. Headliners should be able to draw at least 100 people on a weeknight
and at least 150 people on a weekend. Co-bills should be able to draw at least 50
people on a weeknight and at least 75 people on a weekend. Openers are generally
unpaid and draw is not as much of an issue. These are not hard and fast rules,
just general guidelines.
Please direct all booking inquiries to booking. Do not send unsolicited promo
kits/CDs. E-mail correspondence is preferable to phone correspondence.
In your e-mail, please indicate how you'd fit best as a performer at Emmaus
(Headliner, Co-Headliner, Opener), what date(s) you are interested in, and
include a link to your web site. If you have not gotten a response to an e-mail,
do not send angry e-mails to Jake. He is very busy and inundated every day. He
will do everything he can to get back to you.
If a promo kit/CD is requested, please send to:
